I used to read books.
One day while browsing through the remainder section, I stumbled across Heroes for Wargames by Stewart Parkinson and was enthralled.
I took the book home, pored over the pictures of miniature painted figures of heros and monsters, orcs and champions, kings and witches, knights and dragons. The next day I bought a pack of lead armed dwarfs from a local model shop and started painting them.
I bought quite a few packs over the following months, my favourites being the 'Blood Axe Space Orcs.'

Gradually, my enthusiasm for fantasy waned. Wasn't it all a bit, as my family said, silly?
