Wow! this brings it all back. The first playperson (as they were licensed in the UK) I ever saw was a mate's builder keychain, and that must've been Easter 1976 - blue body yellow arms and orange hard hat. No moving hands of course in those days. The playpeople franchise went bankrupt round about the time I grew out of playing with them, and they started importing regular playmobil instead. I'd almost forgotten about them til I saw this vintage king on ebay the other day - which I had to buy just for old times' sake, and to feel again a tiny bit of the excitement of getting my first one thirty two years ago.

I have a 5 foot tall Playmobil Pirate possibly once used as a store display. Striped pants, and movable arms, nothing like it on ebay. Any info. you can give would be great!
